I built this by using it on myself. Publicly. The first time I ran this question hard, I asked: "Am I a fraud?"
I was taking ideas from people I admired — Mo Gawdat's logical clarity, Martha Beck's inquiry work — and making them mine. That felt like theft. So I asked the question. Is it true that I'm a fraud?
No. What I was doing had a name: synthesis. Taking borrowed thoughts and running them through lived experience until something original comes out the other side. That's not theft. That's how all real thinking works.

The fact is irreversible. The relationship isn't. Energy doesn't disappear — it transforms. This question opens agency where none seemed to exist.
The first question invites defense. The second one invites honesty. The difference between those two questions is the difference between staying stuck and getting free.
"Everyone" and "always" are the words your pain uses. The question strips them out and shows you what's actually real versus what's a story built from hurt.
Facts and interpretations are not the same thing. One is fixed. The other is yours to rewrite the moment you're willing to question it.
This only works if you're willing to be brutally honest — not cruel, not self-flagellating — just clear. The question isn't a weapon. It's a flashlight.
The loop: This process will keep running in the background until you acknowledge it. Name your brain, give it the thought, and trust it comes back when you're ready.
Once you've confirmed something is true and you can't directly fix it — these are your moves. Not prescriptions. Options. Pick the one that's honest for right now.
You have a move. Use it. No delay, no overthinking. Handle your shit and move forward with a clear conscience.
It's not true, not relevant, not worth the weight. Let it go completely. Not suppression — release. There's a difference.
Sometimes the move is just to sit in it. No shame. No rushing to fix it. Grief, anger, sadness — they're information. Let them land.
Reframe it. Find the other angle. Turn it into a story, a lesson, a joke even. Same truth, new lens. Your pain doesn't have to keep the same meaning forever.
Channel it. Turn the energy into movement, art, building, writing, healing. Pain is just unspent power. This is the TPR move — run with it.
Not ready — and that's okay. Name your brain, give it the thought, and trust it comes back when you have what you need.
